Thirty-six bodies have so far been recovered from the Baleshwar river in coastal Pirojpur district where a ferry, MV Subha, capsized on Thursday night with some 150 passengers on board.
None of the missing 13 staff of MV Subha could be traced, said Abdullah Al Azad Chowdhury, police superintendent of Pirojpur.
But the fishermen remained unmoved despite promises of compensation by police and Pirojpur district administration for damage to their nets during the search.

Rescue operations for the sunken ferry, MV Subah, in Bangladesh's coastal Pirojpur district, have been abandoned with the departure of all six salvage ships, including the Hamza, after eight days of futile effort.
The Pirojpur district administration couldn't confirm whether the salvage ships have left permanently or will be back to resume operations.
A report from the district said yesterday the salvage ships – three from the Navy and three from Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority – left the spot on Friday, after returning the speedboats from the district administration which they took to conduct the search.
