Julie Billiart - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1803, in obedience to Father Varin, superior of the Fathers of the Faith, and under the auspices of the Bishop of Amiens, the foundation was laid of the Institute of the Sisters of Notre Dame, a society which had for its primary object the salvation of poor children.
Pisani de la Gaude, bishop of Namur, who had invited her to make his episcopal city the center of her congregation, should a change become necessary.
De Broglie, bishop of Ghent, said of her that she saved more souls by her inner life of union with God than by her outward apostolate.

At the famous council of 1811, convoked by Napoleon without the authorization of the imprisoned pope, the attitude of de Broglie and of Hirn was no less courageous; they, together with the Bishop of Troyes, succeeded in inducing the council to defeat the imperial decree limiting the pope's right of institution.
The fiery anti-clerical Louis de Potter, author of various historical works extremely irreligious in tone, was one of the first to advocate, from prison in which he was confined for some violation of laws concerning the press, the union of the Catholics and the Liberals.
This union was made the more easy because the greater part of the Catholics, under the influence of the teachings of Lamennais and the pressure of events, had abandoned their stand of 1815 and had rallied to the doctrine of "liberty in all and for all".

La Gaude (see general view of village) is a village of about 5000 inhabitants, and the main activity is agriculture.
La Gaude, however, still keeps it’s aspect of a quiet little village, situated at the foot of the Baou de St. Jeannet, and which still hold typical “fetes”, as on the 15th August for assumption and the 7th February, the day of their saint.
La Gaude owes it’s name, either to Celtic origins, in which it means Wood, or from the Latin gaudere, which translates as “rejoice”, the name of the then local variety of wine grapes grown there.

In Liber de Hyda we find that canons had been introduced at Winchester by King Ethelred, and that Bishop Grimbald, a zealous reformer of the clergy, had established a community of clerics whose duty it was to perform the Divine Office.
Bridlington Priory, where William de Newbridge and several other historians lived, was also sanctified by the life, virtues, and miracles of its holy prior, John de Tweng, the last English saint to be canonized prior to the Reformation.
Chic Priory, whence came William de Corbeil, Archbishop of Canterbury, was renowned for the learning of its religious clerics: "clerical litteraturâ insignes." Thurgarton was the home of that spiritual writer, Walter Hilton, who, about the year 1400, wrote the Scala perfectionis, usually attributed to some Carthusian monk.

It was strengthened by the subservience of Bishop Bexon, whom age had weakened, for the prefect Pérès and by the circular (13 November, 1802) in which he denied having disapproved of the Organic Articles.
At last Bexon resigned, 15 Sept., 1803, and was succeeded by Pisani de la Gaude.
The schism lasted until 1814, when Pisani de la Gaude accepted the declaration recognizing the legitimate bishop which the Stevenists were willing to make.

The stated rationale for deregulation is often that fewer regulations will lead to a raised level of competitiveness, therefore higher productivity, more inefficiency and lower prices overall.
Deregulation is different from liberalization because a liberalized market, allowing any number of players, can be regulated to protect the consumer 's right s, especially to prevent de facto or even legal oligopoly.
