Quincy, MA - Coming back from a mysterious benching in Week 1 versus the Baltimore Battalion, Pittsburgh Bulls QB Art Banfield led his team to a 28-9 win against the expansion Boston Attack in front of a capacity crowd in the new team's home opener at Veteran's Memorial Stadium in Quincy, MA.
From there the Attack were forced to play catch up, but against the tough Bulls defense they were never able to break into the end zone.
Also leading the way for the Bulls was RB Jacob Rumble, who rushed for 116 yards on 13 carries, and WR Josh Lewis, who caught 5 passes for 100 yards and 3 TDs.

Washington, a 6-foot-7 Philadelphia native who graduated from Cheyney State, was drafted in the fifth round of the 1967 NBA draft by the Cincinnati Royals, now the Sacramento Kings.
Instead, he joined the Pittsburgh Pipers during the American Basketball Association's inaugural season in 1967-68 when the legendary team won the league championship.
