The technicians were Jay Mains, 47, of East Pittsburgh, who has been with the company for 21 years, and Alfred Lundy, 20, who has been with the company for three weeks.

My father, Raymond J. Rueger, went to Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics where he earned his FAA Airframe and Power Plant certificate.
This was ironic because my parent's families lived in Pittsburgh, Pa., and I never flew anywhere other than Pittsburgh until after I joined the USAF.
He is not sure, but I'd like to think that I flew in EAL 344 that now hangs in the Smithsonian Institute, Air and Space Museum.
