 | | Springfield, IL - Jan Paul Miller, United States Attorney for the Central District of Illinois, announced that a former chief teller at a Pike County bank, Jill L. Clopper, age 45, of 127 North West Street, Pittsfield, Illinois, entered a plea of guilty today to bank embezzlement. |
 | | During today's hearing, Clopper admitted she embezzled no less than $239,900 from the Kinderhook State Bank in Kinderhook, Illinois, during the period from October 11, 1994 to May 23, 2001. |
 | | Clopper admitted that while she was employed as the bank's chief teller, she fraudulently credited her various personal accounts and then created fraudulent "cash in" memos to her teller drawer. |
