This famous boulevard (the second widest in Europe, after Unirii Blvd. in Bucharest) has two distinctive parts : a huge commercial / entertainment area (Place Charles de Gaulle - Rond-Point) and a walking area bordered by chestnut trees and municipal flower beds (Rond-Point - Place de la Concorde).
Metro George V on ligne 1 is right there, or just walk down the Champs from Arc de Triomphe a few streets.

Quai de la Rapée station is on a crossing over a canal with tunnels on both sides; the tunnel to the south is very short and leads to the river crossing.
An unusual configuration for Paris by itself, this station is more unusual in that the north side track is merely a non-revenue connection from line 9 to line 10, and there is a chain-link fence along the platform edge.

This is the elegant Avenue Foch, between the Arc and the Bois de Boulogne (but keep away from that park, there are some *creepy* figures hanging out there!!)
It's a chilly and grey morning here today...such weather would be so much more tolerable in Paris!!
