It was at this time that the township had to change over to the public school system and the operation of the private and parochial schools was discontinued.
Because of this location and proximity to these major cities, the township as part of York County, is considered to be on the fringe of "Megalopolis", the emerging super-city conceived to be developing along the Atlantic Coast from Boston, Massachusetts to Norfolk, Virginia.
Pennsylvania Route 74 (Carlisle Road) which traverses the township from northwest to southeast, provides connections between Carlisle and the City of York.

 Brady Township Information
Brady is one of the border townships of the county, situated north of the Juniata River.
West and northwest is the township of Henderson, and on the north is Miller township.
The ore was chiefly brought from Franklin township by canal and later by railroad, although a quantity of the fossil ores found in Brady were combined with them, producing a metal which had a most excellent reputation among manufacturers, and which was used to a large extent to produce imitation Russia sheet iron.

In establishing the boundaries of the townships, the southern tier of sections of Town 21, Range 5, was included in Mason City Township, and the southern tier of Town 22, same range, was made the northern limit of Allen's Grove Township.
The position of the township is north of Mason City Township, east of Pennsylvania Township, south of Tazewell County and west of Logan County.
The eastern and southern sections of the township are well adapted to the growth of vegetables, corn, wheat, rye, barley and oats.
