	AAW: Generator Gawl Review
		In all, Generator Gawl strikes a good balance of light banter, humorous attempts by the heroes at fitting in with normal folk, darker drama, and plot meted out as implications and hints.
		Generator Gawl isn't terribly original in its shonen action premise--superpowered, time traveling high school students--but the series is solidly produced and the tale a well-told blend of mystery, sci-fi, and action seasoned liberally with humor.
		The main thing that differentiates Generator Gawl from similar generic adolescent action series is that it does a rather effective job of keeping things a little less than obvious (although I'd recommend not reading the back of the box--it gives away far more than the first two episodes).

		Generator Gawl is quite good, and with the relative ease with which one can purchase and view it, there's really no excuse for anyone to miss out on such an intriguing series.
		Ryo, Generator Gawl's angsty bishounen, spends a fairly high percentage of his screen time angsting; however, without giving too much away I can tell you that his problems are both very worthy of guilt and very immediate.

		Then there are series like Generator Gawl that tend to just kind of vaguely tug at the viewer with their sheer mediocrity.
		I suppose some of the plot questions are somewhat incidental since the main core of this series involves Gawl “generating” into this armored form that looks like a cross between beings from the Predator and Alien franchises.
		I was particularly pleased with Gawl who I first thought was just going to be another gutsy stubborn sassy mouthed youth, but ends with a bit more texture than that.
