  Plug Comic
The result was 'Plug', by some way the strangest comic ever produced by D. Thomson.
Various other strips in the comic were inspired by him, from Gulp, "The Intergalactic Goon with the Gigantic Gullet", to the odious Plug Bugs.
Plug's strip was drawn mainly by Vic Neill, although in later issues occasional stories were drawn in a madcap painterly style by a different artist.

In electronics, deciding which of two mating connectors is the plug and which the socket is sometimes arbitrary.
The male connector is the plug, the female the socket.

Plug (comic) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Plug was a British comic that ran for 76 issues from 24 September 1977 until 24 February 1979, when it merged with The Beezer.
A spin-off from The Bash Street Kids comic strip in The Beano, the comic was based around the character Plug from that strip.
Plug was never a big hit, the reason possibly being that at 9 pence it was too expensive, compared to other D.C. Thomson comics at the time, which were 5 pence.

It is part of a series of 2-page comics about economic globalization and neoliberalism.
Our goal is to collect these 2-pagers into a comic book that can be used as a primer for people interested in the emerging anti-globalization movement.
Since this is an ongoing project and these pages are likely to be revised before the comic book version comes out, I am very interested in hearing suggestions from people with knowledge of this subject.

Animation: Television Writing from the Inside Out
I'd been a fan of the character since he was first introduced in the mid-'60s, and now I had a chance to put my spin on him.
Working closely with then publisher of Marvel Comics, Stan Lee, who along with artist Jack Kirby had created the Surfer, and with Fox Kids V.P. Sidney Iwanter, I took Kirby and Lee's original view of the character as the Jesus Christ of the spaceways as far as I could, writing or co-writing every episode.
My modus operandi for The Silver Surfer was to talk through every potential episode concept with Lee, Iwanter, and the various artists who because of animation's limited worldview and quick turnover of employees had the title of Supervising Producer at different times, get the logline approved, and then write the outline myself.
