	Plunder Island - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Plunder Island is the fictional first island featured in the computer adventure game The Curse of Monkey Island, and is one of three new islands introduced in the game alongside Skull Island and Blood Island.
		Plunder Island is considered one of the primary islands to belonging to the Tri-Island Area under the rule of governor Elaine Marley, though it does not have a governor's mansion like Mêlée or Booty Island, but instead a seaside fortress.
		Plunder Island apparently has an active Naturalists' Society who leave behind small plaques explaining the names of various native plants, sites and animals, though they are never seen.

		After their honeymoon, Guybrush and Elaine return to Melee island (The island where the bulk of the first game in the series took place) to find that her power is being usurped by a strange businessman in a purple suit by the name of Charles L. Charles.
		The story is an entertaining continuation of the chronology of the Monkey island games, and quite fitting of the dynasty created by it's precursors - My only real gripes with the storyline are that it seem to have become a bit 'cuter' on the whole as time has gone on.
		The Monkey Island series has always been a prime contributor to the Adventure game market, which has seen a sad decline as of late, so it's refreshing to be able to play one that is recently released, even if it has taken a few steps away from it's roots.
