Plymouth County is a county located in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
In the county the population is spread out with 26.80% under the age of 18, 7.20% from 18 to 24, 30.40% from 25 to 44, 23.90% from 45 to 64, and 11.80% who are 65 years of age or older.
The seal was adopted by the Plymouth County Commissioners on March 31, 1931 under the authority of the General Laws, Chapter 34, Section 14, and was designed by Frederic T. Bailey of North Scituate who was, at tht time and for many years, Chairman of the county commissioners.

Plymouth was the landing site of the Mayflower, and the location of the original settlement of the Plymouth Colony, established by the English settlers, now known as "Pilgrims", in 1620.

Getting to Plymouth by car from other places is also made easy by its access via the MA-3 highway, which runs North-South; just inside of the eastern coast of the state, from Boston to Cape Cod.

For example, Pitchard is actually spelled Pritchard and is now known as Hood Pond.(1) Titicut is located in Plymouth County in what is now North Middleborough.(2) Monroe, Massachusetts proved to be a tough nut to crack since I couldn’t find any reference to it on the internet at all.
I finally found that it used to be located in the western part of Massachusetts near Vermont.(3) I say "used to be" because I have not been able to locate Monroe on any of the more recent road maps.
Massachusetts was also the first state to end slavery.(4) Many people turned their homes into safe havens for slaves on the Underground Railroad.(4) When the Civil War broke out, approximately 150,000 Massachusetts troops helped the North to defeat the South and end slavery in the entire United States.(4)
