Podsafe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Podsafe is a term created in the podcasting community to refer to any work which, through its licensing, specifically allows the use of the work in podcasting, regardless of restrictions the same work might have in other realms.
Podsafe licensing can, for example, continue to require non-podcast consumers to pay for the work, require royalties on derivative works, and profit significantly from the work's use in traditional radio, television, or film.
PodSafe Audio was the first website created strictly for collecting and cataloguing podsafe audio for podcasters.

 Podsafe Army Manifesto
The ultimate goal of the Podsafe Army is to organize and unite members of the artist, podcasting, and listener communities.
At first glance, the Podsafe Army provides one indispensable service to musicians, podcasters, and listeners: It brings all of them together and creates a real, tangible, local community that in turn is connected to the larger body of communities worldwide.
What the Podsafe Army ultimately aims to create is an environment where the listeners, creators, and podcasters of modern music work together to support each other, not the hidden interests and agendas of a vast and faceless organization.
