Zanfel - Poison Ivy, Poison Oak, Poison Sumac Treatment - (www.poisonivy.us)
About 15 percent of the 120 million Americans who are allergic to poison oak, poison ivy, and poison sumac are so highly sensitive that they break out in a rash and begin to swell in 4 to 12 hours instead of the normal 24 to 48.
I had my poison ivy rash for a little of a week, resulting in blisters that had already burst open, new blisters, a lot of leaking, swelling under and around the rash and of course itching.
For the record, IF poison ivy rash won't spread, and I put a bandaid on it to keep it from leaking on my clothes, why do I have a new patch of poison ivy where the bandaid was, whose shape looks just like the bandaid.

Water-based Remedies - Viewer Suggestions for treating Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac - (www.poisonivy.us)
I have poison ivy right now and I have found the BEST way to get rid of the itching is to run tepid water over the sores and then increase the temperature to a level that is bearly tolerable.
I have suffered from poison ivy for the past eight years and finally this year found that "hot enough to almost cook your skin" water is the most beautiful relief while its being applied and keeps the prickling at bay for hours.
I don't recommend this to anyone at all, but what helps my poison ivy is to take a rough washcloth, soak it in pure, 100% clorox bleach, and proceed to rub it on the affected area(s) until it burns so bad that you want to scream bloody murder.

 ‘Poison Ivy’ (R)
Ivy, as it turns out, is just as much a loner as Cooper, and once they meet they instantly become best friends.
This fragile, symbiotic friendship between the two girls is the best part of the movie; it's also the purest part, and the only place where the film is driven more by the fresh spirit of its characters than by its hand-me-down thriller plot.
Soon, it's clear Ivy is completely amoral, perhaps even psychotic, and that her goal is not merely to be the daughter the mother never had, but to become the mother, right down to her clothes, her car and her husband.

Movie Review | Poison Ivy 3: The New Seduction (1997) Jaime Pressly, Megan Edwards
Of course that doesn't stop "Poison Ivy 3: The New Seduction" from being a guilty pleasure, owing in no small part to then-newcomer Jaime Pressley and what may very well be the world's most perfect posterior.
As it stands, Femme Fatale movies about a vindictive seductress who moves into a suburban house with plans for revenge (and goes about it by seducing every member of the family!) is a major stable of Straight-to-Video softcore films.
What "Ivy 3" will be most known for is Pressly's nudity, a part of her acting "skills" that she has apparently decided to discard.

Poison Ivy (1984) - Movie Tome
In 1984, NBC brought forth this fun-filled comedic TV movie about the zany hijincks of a group of kids & their teenaged counsellors one summer at Camp Pinewood in Maine.
Fox plays Dennis Baxter, the wiley girl-chasing counsellor who sets his sights on the oh-so-serious Rhonda Malone (McKeon) who is bound & determined to have no romance in her summer job as assistant-nurse at Camp Pinewood.
Although only a TV movie, this is definitely a fun movie to watch especially for 80s aficionadoes and those who love those TV "showcase" movies which featured all the big stars from those days.

deseretnews.com - Movie review: Poison Ivy | Deseret Morning News Web edition
Barrymore is the title character, a scheming 15-year-old nymphet (she was 17 when this movie was shot) who worms her way into a dysfunctional wealthy family and successfully turns it topsy-turvy.
And it isn't much later before Ivy moves in, taking over the attentions of Cooper's TV-executive father (Tom Skerritt), who is suffering from a midlife crisis and whose job is on shaky turf (he also drinks too much), and her bedridden mother (Cheryl Ladd), who is slowly dying of emphysema.
Though on one level "Poison Ivy" is little more than salacious exploitation, on another it's almost a campy spoof of soap operas in general.
