Generally, the higher level the Pokemon and the rarer it is, the harder to catch.
This time, you can view the Pokemon by their size, weight, height, type, Pokeball, and so on and it's much easier to use if you want to search for Pokemon you have to use in your team.

Pokemon Leaf Green (gba: 2004): Reviews
Pokemon Red Fire and Leaf Green, the Game Boy Advance remakes of the first two Pokemon RPGs let players explore the world of the original Game Boy game and collect sharper full-color versions of its familiar monsters.
Pokemon Fire Red and Pokemon Leaf Green are two magnificent games that pull off an amazing remake of two of the greatest titles in the franchise, however, I felt that there was a lot of room for improvement.
The quality of the game remains and it's an essential purchase for those who are new to Pokemon but we can't help feeling the update is a little on the cheap side.

Pokmon FireRed and Pokmon LeafGreen are compatible with Pokmon Ruby, Pokmon Sapphire and Pokmon Colosseum.
Unlike earlier Pokemon games, this one offers a ton of help menus, easily activated by tapping L or R. This way, if a Pokemon newbie gets confused, he or she can easily get help without necessarily having to consult the instruction manual.
Your Pokemons' levels primarily affect their success in battle, but having the correct "type" of Pokemon also matters (a rock pokemon is weak against grass or water types, but virtually immune to lightning or fire types).

FireRed and LeafGreen encompass the same idea: remaking a classic game into a masterpiece, with a few new additions to the story and gameplay.
However, LeafGreen makes the songs from the original series sound good with the wider selection of sounds available on the Game Boy Advance.
The game not only encompasses the worlds of Red and Blue with all of the new moves, features, etc. from the newer games, but it also has islands that are available to explore after a certain amount of the game has been finished.

Your never bored with the game, such as if your trying to catch all the pokemon, collect all the badges and take on the elite 4, and trying to find all those little extras that are around the game.
From challenging the Elite 4 to trying to catch all the legendary pokemon, this game is loads of fun and just overall a great remake of the classic originals from the late 90's.
Pokemon look good and the people are illustrated well.

Pokemon LeafGreen GBA Review @ Gaming Target
With hundreds upon thousands of demented little monsters to manifest and a generic team of Pokémon captors bent on imprisoning each and every one of these creatures, Pokémon is a fad that seemingly will never go away as long as Nintendo is able to refresh the idea.
How the mediocrity of its simple nature rose up the ranks to be one of the gaming world's best selling franchises of all-time is beyond me. But then again, it's not that Pokémon has no innovative merits to its name that repeatedly sells the sensation.
In Pokémon LeafGreen (or from what I'm aware of, any Pokémon game for that matter), it's the idea that you'll get a chance to obtain every last one of these little rats is what runs the gears in this labored machine.
