Pokémon Stadium   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-09)
The second game in the series was called Pokémon Stadium 2 in Japan and simply as Pokémon Stadium in North America.
It was released in Japan in 1999 and in the North America in 2000.
When in Pokémon Stadium it will look like a substiute (a baby Rhydon-like figure that usually appears only when a player has a Pokémon that uses the move substitute.) Missingno.'s substitute will be purple and 'M's will be blue.

TNL Forum - Pokemon GC before this summer?
Judging from the info released thus far, it sounds like Pokemon GC may wind up as more of a supplementary disc for owners of the GBA games (along the lines of the N64 Pokemon Stadiums) rather than a full-on "real" RPG.
Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire were released in Japan on Nov. 21 and have already sold through an alarming 2.7 million copies."
I'd prefer a complete Pokemon game for gamecube as opposed to just a supplement, which will probably only let you battle your friends and raise a few Pokemon Monster Rancher style *maybe*.

 Pokemon Ruby Review
The Pokemon series is distinct from most other RPGs because you have a lot of choice as to the make-up of your party.
If you pick strong Pokemon (and there are some clues as to which these are) and train a lot, most of the game will be a breeze.
Pokemon Ruby does not deliver, however, and nearly all of it comes down to the fact that there's just way too much time spent battling.

Battles are turn based and see you confronting wild pokemon, you use your pet pokemon which you store in special Pokeballs to battle these enemy pokemons and you have a choice of capturing or defeating them.
Pokemon are classed as one of 15 types and this type ascertains how effective they are in battle against other types.

Pokemon battles: Despite the enhanced graphics, they aren't nearly as much fun as the handheld version.
Pokemon Colosseum is the third game in the Pokemon Stadium series, and it's a bit different from its predecessors, in that it's not just a fighting game, but it's also the very first Pokemon adventure game for the GameCube.
This pokemon game has a whole different story mode, because you have to save the "shadow" pokemon, which have had the door to their hearts closed by a bunch of bad guys who are planning to take over the world!!!

Warning: also a Pokemon n00b, I recently bought Pokemon Sapphire and I'm sorely disappointed with it.
Imo, Pokemon games seem to be more for people who like to collect things and compare Pokemon that they've 'nurtured' for hours on end, than for people who like RPGs.
I think the reason the graphics and everything were kept simple was because there wasn't enough space on the cart to hold anything more fancy, not without cutting back on all the features anyway.

Pokemon Stadium 2   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-09)
The visuals and sound are perfect for the N64, with all the Pokemon's cries from the game incorporated into 64-bit sounds, amazing attack effects (especially the special-type ones), and smooth animations.
Overall, if you are either really into Pokemon, losing interest, or just looking for a great late N64 game, then this is a great choice.
The game is good if you wanna play Pokemon gold/silver on the tv and the battles are ok, but they get very repetitive.

Is Pokemon Coliseum the game that a lot of Pokemaniacs wanted, the first 3d fully RPG Pokemon game.
Pokemon Coliseum could have been a great RPG game, or a great stadium game.
If you’re into the Pokemon games though there will be enough to keep you interested though, especially being able to download a lot of the Pokemon that came from the Gold and Silver versions to your GBA Pokemon game packs.

 Pokemon Colosseum Review
One might argue that the rental Pokemon from the two Pokemon Stadiums were horrible and a waste of space, but my argument is a different one.
If your Pokemon were at too high or too low a level to compete in a tournament, you’d be able to rent and still enter.
Although I believe Pokemon Colosseum fails as the near-perfect sequel to the two Pokemon Stadiums, there are quite a few games out there that are not quite that good, but still present a great playing experience.

 TNL Forum - Pokemon Colosseum
Pokemon Colosseum is due out in March (the 22nd to be exact), and it includes not only a battle mode, which was the entire premise of both N64 Pokemon Stadiums, but it will also include a "scenario" mode, which is a stand alone RPG type adventure with new characters.
Pokemon cannot be caught in the wild, because there is no "wild." Just miles and miles of wasteland.
Since most of the Pokemon you will be catching are Shadow Pokemon, you need to purify them of their shadow status, and you do this by sticking them in battle after battle until thier shadow meter is reduced to zero, and they finally begin to obey you.

As I said in the previous post, you can easily make the argument that Saitama and Yokohama stadiums are "in" Tokyo if you are talking about the metropolitan area.
Both are an hour closer than "New Tokyo International Airport", and both are closer to Yaesu than Nagai Stadium is to Umeda or Nipponbashi.
For most people, though, I really think that they would rather see a less seedy side of Japan if they are going to have to shell out to travel all the way here from halfway around the world.

Even though it was in both Pokemon_Stadiums and was in Pokémon_Snap, it seems to have gotten the least attention for some reason.
(Weepinbell was not included in Pokémon_Ruby and Sapphire.) In the Pokemon TV series, it was used by the character James briefly, but then it became a Victreebel.
