Pole (object) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In sailing the spinnaker pole is a pole used to keep the spinnaker clew away from the mast and in front of the forestay, so that the sail is set at the correct angle to the wind and generates maximum power.
The end of the pole which is opposite to that connected to the mast is connected to the guy by means of a clip and the guy rope is in turn connected to the clew of the spinnaker.
The term "on the barber pole" is pilot jargon and refers to keeping the artificial horizon (often red and white striped) level on the wings of the aircraft icon on the display.

Pole - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Reginald Cardinal Pole, a 16th-century Archbishop of Canterbury and Roman Catholic cardinal.
In the presence of a circle, a pole is a point that is associated with a line, a polar of the point with respect to the circle.
The polar is perpendicular to the line joining the pole with the center of the circle, such that the foot of the perpendicular is the image of the pole under the inversion in the circle.

Device for the vertical arrangement of a pole or post-like object - Patent 5957424
The vertical locating of a pole or post may be effected, for instance, by checking and possibly correcting the vertical arrangement by means of a water level or a plumb line when a pole or post is secured or anchored in the ground by driving it in or imbedding it in concrete.
The fixing of the pole 4 on the device 2 is effected such that at first the securing device 6 is anchored in the ground, for instance by screwing it in or imbedding it in concrete.
For fastening the pole 4 on the securing device 6 at first the pole 4 is slipped from the top onto the mounting mandrel 10 and subsequently it is secured by means of the pin 36 in the bore 30.

The diagram notation used the ArcObjects object model diagrams are based on the UML notation, an industry-diagramming standard for object-oriented analysis and design, with some modifications for documenting COM-specific constructs.
A class cannot directly create new objects, but objects of a class can be created as a property of another class or by functions from another class.
Composition is a stronger form of aggregation in which objects from the "whole" class control the lifetime of objects from the "part" class.

In sailing the spinnaker pole it is a pole used to keep the spinnaker clew away from the mast and in front of the forestay so that the wind gets into the sail neatly and develop maximum power out of the wind flow.
The pole isset in the pole ring fitted at theforefront of the mast at the spinnaker clew level.
The pole is held up by the pole up control and is held down by the pole downcontrol so the pole end where the spinnaker is fixed doesn't move up or down.

The coat is applied to the external surface of the wooden object and maintains the minimum effective level of pesticide at the surface of the wood and/or in the surrounding soil.
In accordance with the further object of the present invention, the device is placed inside the wooden object at about ground level allowing the pesticide to be carried laterally and longitudinally by molecular and gaseous diffusion and longitudinally primarily by the capillary action of the wood structure and moisture.
The wooden objects for which the present invention is especially useful include: wooden utility poles, wooden railroad ties, wooden bridge parts, such as bridge bracings, wooden fence posts, and the like.

Poles struck by errant vehicles at specific “spot” locations where there have been a history of pole crashes, or poles in locations such as the outside of a curve, end of lane drops, and in traffic islands.
When poles closer than 10 feet from the roadway were relocated to points beyond 10 feet, it was found that the crash reduction was greater than for poles that originally were located beyond 10 feet from the road and that were subsequently farther removed.

An object is a form which is neither determined specifically by the forms of the commodity nor the Saussurean sign; indeed, an object's status is not determined in relation to a subject; neither is it established by its use as an implement by means of which things in the world are worked upon.
Narrative was the object of the structuralist science of narratology, and literature was the privileged vehicle of narrative.

It is this notion of reversibility that most directly problemetizes the concept of intentionality, since rather than having the model of act and object, one has the image of a fold, and of the body as the place of this fold by which the sensible reveals itself.

A target object's weight specifies how much the position of the constrained pole vector can be influenced by a target object.
For each target object, an attribute named targetObject Wn is included that specifies the weight of each target object.
By default, the weights are set to 1, which gives each target object an equal influence over the constrained pole vector's end position.
