Political line - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A political line is the general view a political party, organization, faction, or ideology takes on a given question.
The concept of political line - which goes back at least to the Communist Party of the 1930s - is somewhat similar to the 21st century concept of echo chamber.
Those who repeat a political line are serving as an echo chamber; it is widely asserted that conservatives have a much bigger echo chamber than liberals, due to the proliferation of right-wing journals, newsaper columns, foundations, publications, blogs, etc.

Two, Three, Many Parties of a New Type?
In its ideological, political, and party-building lines, the communist movement has moved to the "Left" since the beginning of the current phase of organized anti-revisionist activity (around 1968).
Because their own "left" lines accounted for a lot of the movement's disunity, they were not about to initiate self-criticism.
The appeal to "left" arguments in ideological and political line bolsters the splintering of the Marxist-Leninist forces, and fans a sectarian spark into a roaring "Leftist" fire.

Two, Three, Many Parties of a New Type?
Some comrades treat "political line" as the "concrete application" of theory or as the "sum total of tasks in the working class movement." (MLOC) In this definition, the term "political line" loses its specific relation to the political struggle of the proletariat, and becomes the general line guiding every activity.
Owing to the obstacles which these lines present to profound theoretical study of international and U.S. class struggles, to all-sided propaganda, to widespread agitation, and to the direction of revolutionary mass struggle, it would be foolish to expect that extensive political lines can emerge in the "inter-group" struggle.
Until they address the organization of the ideological struggle, the separate groups cannot demand that others accept their line and their line alone in a situation in which poor theoretical training, lack of common ideological debate, and inexperience mean that many cadre are simply not in a position to make knowledgeable judgements on various questions.

And there is no doubt that a serious political issue, when presented in the form of a telling cartoon, will be borne home to the minds of a far larger circle of average every-day men and women than it could ever be when discussed in the cold fl and white of the editorial column.
The power and efficacy of political cartoons has long been recognized; because of their readability and visual immediacy, they appeal to and are understood by a wide audience.

 Lenin: The Political Line
An appraisal of the political line followed by the two newspapers is of particular interest in the light of the election campaign, for this appraisal is the inevitable touch stone of views on basic questions of principle.
By rejecting the idea of the working class pursuing a line of its own in present-day politics and in all questions of democracy (or, in other words, the idea of the working class “building a new Russia”) in spite of the liberals, Nikolin virtually calls on the working class to trail behind the liberals.
As regards arguments to the effect that the working class should not be “isolated”, that “the brunt of the struggle for political liberty should not be borne by the workers”, that what is needed is “co-ordination and not division of forces”, and so on, all that is meaningless rhetoric.

The loneliest mile in town: Travels along the political fault line
For example, I knew enough political history to understand that modern corruption was largely a Democratic invention and that it had two primary branches: northern urban and southern ubiquitous.
