Political media - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Political media are communication vehicles owned, ruled, managed, or otherwise influenced by political entities, meant to propagate views of the related entity.
While it is simple to recognise a political medium in an official newspaper, magazine, TV channel that directly declares to belong to a group, deep concerns might regard submission of communications to political interests and impartiality of media that do not declare their party alliances.
In this sense political media would often be meant to form or at least influence public opinion, a least-common-denominator for all members of society.

While media effects on political campaigns it is simple to recognise political socialisation + mass media a political medium in an official newspaper, magazine, TV channel that directly declares to belong to a group, deep concerns might regard submission of communications to political interests and impartiality of media that do not declare their party alliances.
As a matter of fact, private media companies became very powerful political bias in the media since the invention of the printing press, cinema, radio and TV, and in history the age of amanuenses (the manual copysts of Middle Ages) is perhaps characteristic in demonstrating the attention that usually official powers attribute to communication.
The lack of a sufficient media and political battle individual education, due to a perhaps intentionally provoked low quality of school, is then considered one of the major reasons for the success of such attempts.

 "NEWS MEDIA AS POLITICAL INSTITUTIONS"
The first is the view of political economy or macro-sociology, which relates the outcome of the news process to the structure of the state and the economy and to the economic foundation of the news organization.
The assumption is that media content matters and is to some degree an independent influence on the world, either through affecting public opinion (this is the most common assumption) or through playing a role in the internal rough and tumble of political insiders.
The political economy of news neglects the political in favor of the economic at its peril.

How Mass Media Simulate Political Transparency
Media coverage of the private lives of public figures is actually a form of informational transparency, although not necessarily one that serves democratic values.
Journalists, in turn, have adapted the rhetoric of political transparency to defend their emerging investigative practices, to rationalise greater sexual frankness in reporting of news stories, and to justify their sense of greater entitlement to investigate and report on the private lives of public officials, including their infidelities, their sexual orientations, and their sexual habits.

"How the Media Frames Political Issues" by Scott London
In the ever-expanding body of media effects research, relatively little attention has been paid to how news is framed, and still less has been written on the political consequences of media frames.
Iyengar's contention that the media, through episodic news framing, deflect accountability from elected officials, and that their coverage in fact propagates the status quo is widely substantiated in other sources.
The Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University recently published a report titled "Restoring the Bond: Connecting Campaign Coverage to Voters." One of the lessons learned from the 1988 presidential campaign, the report states, is that journalists have contributed to the alienation and anger among voters.

Scotland's Parliament: Devolution, the Media and Political Culture
In everyday political life it is still generally assumed that the United Kingdom is a bounded, sovereign polity, with its own national political agenda, communicated by its own national media.
This view has a bearing on the present-day functioning of political communication in the United Kingdom because in reality the dominant model of the nation-state as a unitary political community, as a stable locus in which we speak to ourselves about politics and public affairs, is breaking down.
Scotland's media are a crucial element of the country's civil society.

 3PT - Media Buying
For political commercials to be an effective means of persuasion they must be seen by the voter.
The media buy should be an inherent part of the overall advertising strategy, and effective media planning should work within the framework of the broad communication goals established by the campaign.
By heavying up the media buy at key times, such as the beginning and the final weeks of the election, the weight and timing of the advertising is matched with the political objectives of the campaign.
