We ended up going for a walk in Pollock Country Park where we saw some of the famous, long-haired highland cows (pronounced k-oos here).
But it wasn't far before we stumbled upon the Pollock House, which is this great, old stone house about 4 or 5 stories high, built in around 1750.
Not far from the Pollock House is the Burrell Collection (also located in Pollock Country Park), where we saw all sorts of historical art pieces from alabaster carvings dating 3000 years before Christ, to several works by Degas.

Pollock House along with the magnificent Pollock Country Park within whose grounds it is situated was gifted to the city by the Maxwell family in 1966.
The Maxwells of Pollock were a leading Glasgow family in the spheres of art and learning and it is here Sir William Burrell's famous collection of some 8000 exhibits from all over the world is on display.
