		Polyplay is the story of a police officer, who, confronted with a puzzling case, cannot desist from digging too deep.
		Polyplay is set in a scenario where reunification of Germany took place the other way round.

		A big problem of the Polyplay was, however, its bad recognition of coins: As the East German money was made out of aluminium, the coins rapidly lost their shape, and often the automat would not accept the 50 Pfennig coins that were put into it.
		Further, the graphics of the Polyplay were on a 70es level, compared to those of western technologies.
		Today, the Polyplay, with around ten exemplars remaining, is one of the rarest collection pieces for collectors of coin automats.

		Polyplay ist ein im besten Sinne kritisches Buch, das bei allem Pessimismus nie ganz die Hoffnung auf eine zumindest ansatzweise bessere Welt aus den Augen verliert.

	Polyplay
		Der "Polyplay" ist der einzige jemals in der DDR gebaute elektronische Unterhaltungsspielautomat.
		Da der jüngste uns bekannte Polyplay mit der Seriennummer 1492 aus dem Jahr 1989 stammt, kann davon ausgegangen werden, dass bis zum Ende der DDR nicht mehr viele Geräte gebaut wurden.
		Für den Polyplay existieren 10 Spiele (siehe Tabelle), wobei immer nur acht in einem Gerät zur Anwendung kommen können (außer bei den allerletzten Geräten der Modellreihe ESC2, siehe oben).

		Seine stilistische Bandbreite ist beeindruckend, seine Leserschaft begeistert er durch seinen Ideenreichtum, seinen gesellschaftlichen Weitblick und seine außergewöhnlichen Charaktere.

		Often incorrect, very much trying to prove how everything we use now is the apex of computer evolution, but also quite interesting.
		Among the most interesting pieces displayed was an East-german arcade game, called "Polyplay".
		Apparently, there is only one machine left, but the MAME project seems to be developing emulation support.

		Gridlee is kind of strange, a Q-bert type charater that spits and swallows balls (ooer!) at baddies,RobbyRoto is the best of the three a sort of Pacman underground type effort the idea is too tunnel underground and rescue your friends who resemble `smilies`.
		PolyPlay is in German so im not sure what i am doing with it which is just as well because it appears about as interesting as a huge skip of T-rex sh**te!.
		As i repair arcade game boards i will download rom images to help me repair that game,i will also download roms for games i already own.(those game boards are safely stashed away im my collection,so to play the games i use MAME instead).

		Marcus Hammerschmitt, Polyplay: When I listen to music I never just listen.
		I always think along the lines of, how would I arrange this part, how does this moment fit into the four to six minutes of the piece, etc. I just can’t turn it off, so I have long since decided to appreciate it.

		Plötzlich scheint sich auch die STASI für die Ermittlungen zu interessieren und Krämer stößt bei seinen Ermittlungen immer wieder auf das eigentlich längst veraltete Konsolenspiel "Polyplay", daß noch zu Zeiten der alten DDR entwickelt wurde...
		"Polyplay" ist sicherlich der am flüssigsten zu lesende Roman von Marcus Hammerschmitt bisher, leider aber auch der in mancher Hinsicht enttäuschendste, denn es drängt sich der Verdacht auf, daß vom Autor mit Absicht eine altbekannte Handlungsidee verwendet wurde, nur um die Möglichkeit zu haben, ein alternatives Wiedervereinigungsszenario als Kulisse verwenden zu können.
		Und darunter leidet die Glaubwürdigkeit des Romans leider.
