Addenda: Reports have come in of several successful observations on the Spanish mainland; all observations are listed here, and the shape of the asteroid is building up from the chords.
Here are also Bredner's report from Mallorca - and a report by Durda on another stellar occultation by Polyxo observed in 2000 from an airplane; the shape of the asteroid could be approximated roughly then from this and groundbased observations.
