As cova says, the old quarter of Pontevedra has lots of charm, as does Cambados (much smaller, the "albarino" wine town, with a great plaza, lots of granite manor homes and a lovely Parador, where we have stayed.
I'm interested in Galicia and I selected Santiago and Pontevedra (among other cities in Europe) and I consistantly see that Pontevedra is 10 or so degrees (F) warmer than Santiago, Madrid, Barcelona and other cities throughout the winter/cooler months.
Pontevedra is located in the Rias Baixas area.

Pontecesures is a little village with 3025 habitants wich is located in Pontevedra province.
It is the first town you find in Pontevedra coming down the N550 from A Coruña.
The most important events of Pontecesures are the "Fiesta gastronómica de la lamprea", a gatronomic event, in March and the "Fiesta de la Virgen del Carmen", religious event on the first weekend of July.
