In the present article, we describe how popular films and television programs are used to promote social change, and then discuss the ethical issues that writers, producers, media professionals, and government officials need to consider.
The present trend indicates that the entertainment orientation of the international film and television industry will increase, even in developing countries that are committed to using the media for educational purposes.
