In mid-1992, the party of the Rural Solidarity farmers' union, the Peasant Alliance (Porozumienie Ludowe--PL) held two prominent positions in the Suchocka government, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.
In mid-1992 the Peasant Alliance and the Polish Peasant Party (Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe--PSL) were still divided by their political backgrounds although they both represented Poland's large rural sector.
Years before the emergence of Solidarity, Moczulski was defying the authorities with calls for the restoration of Polish sovereignty and the replacement of the communist system; he was imprisoned repeatedly from the late 1970s through the mid-1980s.

The Polish Peasant Party (Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe, PSL) likewise had dealings with the far-right, some of its local branches collaborating with the National Party (Stronnictwo Narodowe, SN).
In contrast to the left-wing connotations of its name, the RSA is the most extreme of the right-wing coalitions and has established links with Le Pen and his fascist Front National, a contact previously monopolised by the PN.
The RSA also formed an alliance with the nazi National Rebirth of Poland (Narodowe Odrodzenie Polski, NOP) which is a part of terrorist Roberto Fiore's International Third Position set-up.

In their nationwide protest action, unions active in the healthcare sector will be demanding the payment of outstanding wages owed and the abandonment of plans for further structural change.
The protest is supported by NSZZ Solidarność and the All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions (Ogólnopolskie Porozumienie Związków Zawodowych, OPZZ), the second-largest union organisation in Poland.

Several MPs close to Rydzyk (such as Antoni Macierewicz, former minister of home affairs in the early 1990s) broke away from the LPR and formed their own group, Ruch Katolicko-Narodowy (Catholic National Movement — RKN), also named Kolo Narodowe (National Circle — KN) after its parliamentary faction.
A furor arose on 28 February 2002 when, during a parliamentary debate, LPR delegates accused the chairman of the National Commemoration Institute (IPN), Professor Leon Kieres, of being anti-Polish and serving Jewish interests.
It absorbed a number of nationalist activists, notably the well known MPs Michal Kaminski (notorious for his public support of the traditional antisemitic slogan “Poland for the Polish”) and Marcin Libicki (a veteran member of the extremist organization PN, known for his vigorous opposition to the restitution of property to former Jewish owners).
