997 GT3 RS Porsche released information for one of two of their two-seating, lightweight 911 models, the 911 GT3 on February 24, 2006 (the other would be the GT2); it is reported to accelerate 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and have a top speed of 193 miles per hour.

The later 915 style Porsche transmission has a much better shift pattern (much like a Berg 5) and will be allot more user friendly than the older style pattern, and they have the right final drive flanges needed.

Back in the late 50's, Porsche was producing the 356, a 4 cylinder model whose life span had run over ten years and needed to be replaced.
Porsche engineered an all new 6 cylinder boxer engine for their new car, which would be called the "901." The pistons were horizontally opposed, that is, the engine was flat, with 3 pistons on either side, 180 degrees away from one another.
This was the first time that the Porsche company introduced a "new" car, the 356 and its derivatives were all they had ever produced.
