As I understand it, many Dutch people consider Rotterdam to be a dangerous city full of immigrants, but I really enjoyed the day trips I took here during my time in the Netherlands.
I had to move here when I married a Rotterdamer and was not looking forward to living in the largest port in Europe (or is it the world?) But I LOVE LOVE LOVE this city!!!
I lived in Rotterdam for a few months and I’m not sure I’d advocate that, but it’s definitely worth popping into once you’ve seen Delft, Groningen etc.
