		Portrait of Another formed in the fall of 2003 in Charlottesville, VA. With a variety of influences from Seal to Toad the Wet Sprocket to Duncan Sheik, Portrait has combined the spirit of a singer/songwriter with the strength of a rock band.
		Portrait released its first full length album (Self-titled) in the spring of 2005 after an eleven-day marathon recording session under the direction of singer/songwriter Justin Rosolino.
		The album reflects the eclectic yet coherent songwriting and sound of Portrait, with an occasional nod to their many influences.

	Self Portrait Sessions
		Since so many of the songs on the double album were apparently filler (four songs from the Isle of Wight festival, different versions of some songs on the same album, lifeless jams, etc.), the skimpy artistic nature of the album was clearly highlighted.
		The quote from Dylan indicates that he was surprised at the negative response and felt at the time that the album was a genuine worthy effort.
		He said it could be a separate album, the Byrds and Dylan, and I asked him what kind of billing we'd get on it and he said well, he didn't know, but Clive assured me that we'd be getting at least 33 percent billing on it.

	FRENCH CANNINGS: George's Portrait Album
		Almost all the portraits are of a type that is mounted on a standard-size cardboard backing, called "cartes." I feel that he worked hard to find fine portraits of as many of his family members as he could.
		The velvet fabric covering the album is a latte brown with purple tinge, with floral pattern in bas-relief.
		Several of the portraits are loose, while others clearly have been several times removed and replaced to look at the reverse sides, so unfortunately we cannot be 100% certain that George's names match the people in the portraits.
