| | Portdmouth Rugby Club - History |
 | | During those early years, grounds were changed almost with the regularity of a ticking clock, with North End Meadows,Governor's Green and the Portsmouth Grammar School ground, then at East Southsea, all used at one time or the other by the infant club. |
 | | In 1892-93, Portsmouth organised a second XV for the first time, and a covered stand, erected at the North End ground, was a welcome amenity for those attracted by the success of the club on cold, winter afternoons. |
 | | Portsmouth's fixture list, players of quality were also drawn like a magnet to the South Coast to such an extent that the club entered the 1900's with two Welsh internationals, B. Llewellyn and J. A.Gould, in their lineup. |
