		In the township the population is spread out with 23.2% under the age of 18, 8.0% from 18 to 24, 26.2% from 25 to 44, 28.2% from 45 to 64, and 14.3% who are 65 years of age or older.
		The median income for a household in the township is $45,500, and the median income for a family is $50,938.

	Group pushes for tax to fight retail
		On Sept. 6, members of COG plan to again ask the township board to hold a special election in November to ask voters for a half-mill tax to raise a legal defense fund for fending off unwanted development.
		Then, said township Supervisor Dave Wagner, the board likely will nix the idea of a special election, not just because of its cost but because the big-box proposal is off the table.
		The township's legal fund, Wagner said, is adequate to defend against a developer's lawsuit.
