		Reichminister Albert Speer was present at this conference.
		Further research however showed that Speer had in fact left the conference at midday - before Himmler spoke - to call in on Adolf Hitler at his headquarters.
		By holding this conference, Himmler wanted to 'motivate' his audience by ensuring that they would not be able to plead ignorance of the Final Solution following a Nazi defeat.

		This coincides with the large immigration of Polish to the Midwest between the 1880s and World War I. Although none of my ancestors joined the Polish Catholics that formed the National Church of America, they did show strong signs of nationalism by continuing to speak Polish in their home.

	Himmler's 10/04/43 Posen Speech
		The speech was given in the city of Posen (or Poznan), in what is now Poland.
		Himmler gave a speech to another audience two days later, and several others as well (Posen was a minor hub of the Nazi leadership), but the one of October 4th is so famous that if "Himmler's Posen speech" is referred to, it is this one.
		As usual, he spoke from notes, but he had begun the practice of recording some of his talks on a red oxide tape wider than what is used today.
