  POTHANA
Pothana however felt that rather than seeking material rewards from petty earthly rulers it was far better to dedicate his work to God, even if it meant living a life of penury.
Pothana said that even the very act of his writing the Bhagavatham in Telugu was the result of the great good deeds he had done in his previous lives.
Pothana began composing his magnum opus with the feeling that everything he was doing was by the will of Sri Rama.
