Potoccy is the Polish language plural form, i.e., it means "the Potockis" or "the Potocki family".
The Potockis is a great artistocratic family originated from Potok in the Krakow Voivodship.

To the north from Opatrzność is located the sanatory Gołąbek which used to be the place where the Potoccy an old, noble, Polish family lived during the WW TWO.
When going the Potoccy street we pass the sanatorium Krystyna which was founded in 1912 and together with another, non-existing two sanatoria before the latest war used to create so called Lvovian Colony of sanatoria.
The presence of healing water in the neighbouring Iwonicz Zdrój persuaded the owners of Rymanów Anna and Stanisław Potoccy to look for the similar springs in the surrounding mountains and the valley of the Taba river (today called Tabor).
