Magic is so broad that in order to have a definition which encompasses all its branch it has to be very general.

Thelemapedia: The Encyclopedia of Thelema & Magick Cunning folk
Whether Cunning folk actually did possess any supernatural power is open to debate; certainly some were caught in fraud such as spying on customers to help their predictions, repeatedly promising vast treasure which was never found, and falsely accusing the innocent of theft or witchcraft.
Of course some of the practises and spell craft used by the cunning folk may indeed have ancient roots, but the original pagan beliefs that went alongside the use of old charms were long gone nor did they use a shamanic trance during treatment.
Cunning folks were as busy as ever by the mid eighteenth century when religious tolerance in Britain ensured that professed atheists as well as Roman Catholics could openly admit their beliefs without danger, indeed some eccentrics did claim to worship Classical deities.

Pow Wow, and by extention powwowing, in this case refers to a form of folk magic and faith healing practiced by the Pennsylvania Dutch, who weren't Dutch, but German, their PA moniker a bastardization of the pronunciation of "Deutschland."
As Ravenwolf discusses each element of pow wow, from the healing chants and herbal remedies to divination, warding, and banishing, she manages to keep the text lively and interesting, if somewhat difficult to accept.
With straightforward and light-hearted anecdotes of her encounters with living pow wow practitioners, and her own experiences working within this magical practice, Silver Ravenwolf illuminates a very odd crossroads of spiritualism, something of a protestant magical system.

I don't think a separate disambiguation page is needed unless Pow-wow (folk magic) is written as well, so maybe that can be done in the future.
Should this be a disambiguation page with the two topis as Pow-wow (gathering) and Pow-wow (folk magic), and then possibly add Pow-wow (music)?
When I searched just for Pow-wow, 15 of the top 20 hits were for Native American gatherings, 2 were for software programs, one was for a water cooler, one for a bicycle tour company, and one for a school newspaper.
