 The Power Of Goodbye
Even though Madonna has said that the "Power of Goodbye" refers to saying goodbye to anything, such as people, addictions, situations, etc., I think "The Power of Goodbye" refers to a person in a relationship who has used the person singing in the song.
Now the message of the song, most people think of it as a song about self-empowerment after being dumped.
"Power Of Goodbye" is a beautiful song, and it gets better every time I listen to it, the instrumentation and her vocals are spectacular!!!!

I think we should reappropriate the term "power ballad" for particularly interesting narrative tales of the lives of exceptional people (or very average people who happened to luck into doing something exceptional).
I guess I'd always thought of a power ballad as not necessarily being one of those big generic lovesongs, but actually any ballad (which I guess would be a love song or a storytelling song, though I haven't quite pinned down in my mind what I think a ballad is) with a really big arrangement.
Then, what are currently known as "power ballads" can simply be referred to as the ' "Total Eclipse of the Heart," et al' phenomenon.

 HOT NEW AOR REVIEWS
The best track has got to be the first song, the powerful melodic rocker "The power" that reminds me of 80s rockers RIGGS (a band that released 1 LP, and cut two songs for the 'Heavy Metal' movie, and leader Jerry Riggs played a short period in PAT TRAVERS' band).
"Power of the rune" is also the best song on the whole CD, as this is lovely uptempo melodic hardrock/metal, with a very cool break in the middle of the song.
This is highly recommended to people who like their melodic metal to sound like the 80s, and especially a must if you're looking for bands that draw their influences from 80s IRON MAIDEN.

Pope Pius XII 25 December 1955 Sacred Music
Miraculously preserved unharmed from the Red Sea by God's power, the people of God sang a song of victory to the Lord, and Miriam, the sister of Moses, their leader, endowed with prophetic inspiration, sang with the people while playing a tambourine.[4]
May it thus come about that the Christian people begin even on this earth to sing that song of praise it will sing forever in heaven: "To Him who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb, blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever."[25]
Hence the preachers of the Gospel in pagan lands should sedulously and willingly promote in the course of their apostolic ministry the love for religious song which is cherished by the men entrusted to their care.

The album has now been pirated variously under the titles 'Motorway', '2-4-6-8 Motorway' and even (incredibly) 'Power In The Darkness' using different covers, crap photographs and duff or nonexistent liner notes.
Album released in UK in the wake of a public outcry against The Sex Pistols, whose album had consisted of four singles, four 'B'sides and two duff new tracks.

Power chords are easy to play just about anywhere on the neck, but lend very little harmonic texture to a song.
Usually power chords are composed of the root, a perfect 5th interval, and the root note doubled at a higher pitch (called an octave).
You can hear them in all types of music, but most people associate them with hard rock styles of music.
