Larger drives are also expected in the PowerBook G4, with capacities up to 20 GB, although standard RAM is said to remain at 64 MB for the low-end model and 128 MB for the higher-end version.

The top of the PowerBook, where the "upside down" Apple logo resides continues to be divided into three panels, with the middle being graphite in color and the sides being comprised of transparent plastics akin to Apple's Pro Mouse.

PowerBook G4 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The PowerBook G4 had two different designs: one enclosed in a titanium body with a fl keyboard and a 15" screen; and another in an aluminum body with an aluminum-colored keyboard, in 12", 15" and 17" sizes.
The PowerBook G4 line was the last generation of the PowerBook, and was phased out in favor of various Intel-powered MacBook Pro models in the first half of 2006.
The 12" PowerBook G4 was replaced along with the iBook by the 13.3" MacBook on May 16, 2006, ending the whole PowerBook line.

On the low-end was the tiny (for its time) PowerBook 100, a subnotebook that quickly garnered a cult following among the "small is beautiful" road-warrior set.
The PowerBook line was fitted with a speedy G3 processor, and it eventually evolved into a sleek, well-loved fl slab with a bronze keyboard.
But while the 12" and 17" PowerBooks included all the latest interface, processor, and bus improvements, the TiBook was left to languish with "last year's technology." In the face of the even more refined and elegant AlBooks, the TiBook began to look positively dated, an idea that seemed inconceivable a few years earlier.

 Macworld: Review: 867MHz 12-inch PowerBook G4
Effectively bridging the gap between the PowerBook and iBook lines, the new 12-inch PowerBook G4 -- the first Mac to boot only into OS X -- is a remarkably diminutive laptop that packs more of a punch than the iBook but not quite as much power as the Titanium.
Unlike those of most recent models, this PowerBook's keyboard is not designed to flip up when you want to install RAM or an AirPort card -- likely as a result, the keyboard feels less spongy when typing, and its keys seem to have a larger range of motion.
The 12-inch PowerBook G4 is not as full-featured as either its massive 17-inch sibling or the Titanium -- nor is it meant to be.
