These included a supposed teenage clone of Superman (later known as Superboy), a cyborg claiming to be Superman (later known as Cyborg II) and a man in steel armor which resembled Superman (later known as Steel).
When the cyborg attempted to kill Superman with an energy blast the Eradicator was able to channel that energy into Superman's body, restoring his powers, but it nearly killed the Eradicator.
Superman attacked the Eradicator while being tricked by Brainiac into thinking he might not be the real Superman.

Barnes & Noble.com - Lois & Clark The New Adventures of Superman - The Complete First Season -- Dean Cain - DVD
Superficially, the premise is basically the same, with Dean Cain starring as Superman, "strange visitor from another planet with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men," who in his human guise as mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent, worked for the "Daily Planet", the leading newspaper in Metropolis.
While Lois & Clark:The New Adventures of Superman tended to be irreverent and tongue-in-cheek in its approach (for example, the choleric Perry White was revealed to be an inveterate Elvis Presley fan!), it never stooped to deriding its source material, and thus is more treasured by comic-book aficionados than the campy 1960s version of Batman.

HERO GAMES Discussion Boards - Power Man (SuperMan/Capt Marval wannabe)
The similarities between Danner and Kent (insofar as their superhuman abilities) were quite striking early in Superman's comic life.
Superman took a lot conceptually from Danner, but he also took heavily from Doc Samson (the Man of Steel, this time, instead of Bronze) and John Carter of Mars (this time Earth becomes the planet with weaker gravity).
Due to the nature of the medium, his powers grew in both number and level fairly quick until the connection with Wylie's character was not so apparent.

 Krypto - Enpsychlopedia
Like all denizens of Krypton under a yellow sun and lower gravity environment (vs. Krypton's red sun and heavy gravity), Krypto possessed the same powers and abilities as his master, although his physical abilities were proportionate to his smaller size and species, similar to an ordinary canine vs. a human.
Krypto was drawn as a white dog of generic pedigree (his closest analog to an Earth dog breed might be a white Parson Russell Terrier), and when fighting crime, he usually wore a gold collar, a miniature facsimile of the famed Superman-"S" symbol for a dog tag, and a dog-sized version of Superman's cape.
Krypto's first appearance outside the world of comics was as a companion of Superboy in the 1966 television cartoon The New Adventures of Superman.

Captain Marvel: The Power of SHAZAM!
Captain Marvel is an unusual member of the metahuman community in that he appears to have no real physical weaknesses while having the major suite of superhuman abilities (superstrength, invulnerability, flight, superspeed) at 70% to 95% of the level of other major powers on Earth.
Captain Marvel's powers were christened to battle the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man: Pride, Envy, Greed, Hatred, Selfishness, Laziness and Injustice and as such is a powerful champion capable of defending Mankind against forces who would prey upon the weak.
Captain Marvel has stunned Superman with two of his best punches, so suffice it to say, he should be at least 80% as strong as Superman.

Martian Manhunter - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Although Superman conceded that the Martian Manhunter is the most powerful being on the planet, the Justice League eventually defeated Fernus by re-enlisting Plastic Man, who is immune to the psychic powers of the Martian Manhunter, and has superior shape-changing abilities.
He is a native of the planet Mars (or Ma'aleca'andra, as it was known in his native tongue) and possesses powers beyond those of normal human beings, including telepathy and the ability to change shape.
Fortunately, he was able to use his powers to fit in; adopting a human-like appearance and calling himself "John Jones", he joined the police force, secretly using his alien powers to help the inhabitants of his new home planet.

 Charlton's Captain Atom
Captain Atom appeared in the first episode of the Justice League Unlimited cartoon, his powers and nature had been changed to the point where he had more in common with the terrible electric Superman of the late 90s than with the Captain Atom we all know and love.
Powers/Abilities: Captain Atom's powers are derived entirely from the alien alloy that has merged with his body; by covering his body with this alloy at will he gains the standard set of superhero powers (flight, super strength, and invulnerability) and several others.
Captain Atom has an energy absorption power that's second to none in the DCU, he is able to absorb just about any form of energy and store it in his person; however, if he absorbs too much at any given time he will more-or-less skip into the near future.

The Parasite made a number of reappearances before the Crisis, and was one of the main characters in the second Marvel/DC crossover between Spider-Man and Superman (Marvel Treasury Edition #28).
The Parasite discovered Superman's true identity a couple of times, but on each occurrence, Superman managed to harm Rudy enough to damage his memory (having him suck the "power" out of some kryptonite, having Rudy doused by a shower system while the Parasite possessed Livewire's electrical powers, etc.) so that he forgets the knowledge.
Despite these abilities, the Parasite became depressed due to the fact that he could no longer embrace his wife and children.

COMICON.com: WILL PFEIFER ON DIALING FOR H.E.R.O.S
The first story arc very intentionally includes plenty of archetypal super-hero elements - the phone booth, saving the innocent, flying, super-strength and even a cameo from Superman - to make the point that this is a story about heroes, heroic deeds and powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men.
Using his wits and intelligence, he was able to decipher the letters and dialed the word "Hero." The teen was transformed into Giant Boy and with the transformation came an immediate knowledge about his powers and abilities.
Although the coveted H-Dial, a device that by simply dialing "H-E-R-O" allows one to be transformed into a magical hero, has been around for over thirty years, the way Pfeifer presents it in this series is going to be unlike any incarnation of the dial before.

Superman's creator, Joe Shuster, came up with the idea of a "strange visitor from another planet with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men" with his buddy, Jerry Siegel, when the pair were only seventeen years old.

Shuster, the Toronto-born cartoonist, was living in Cleveland at the time, but most of his family (including cousin Frank, whose own fame would come as half of Canada's "Wayne and Shuster" comedy team) lived north of the border.
