Pipat Yingseri, an official inspector of the Ministry of Public Health, told TNA that at least 11 of the suspected cases were from the bird-flu stricken province of Prachinburi, one from the central Nakhon Pathom province and one from the northeastern province of Nong Bua Lamphu.
He said during the monitoring period, only one patient had been comfirmed to have died of bird-flu virus, while 76 people out of the 93 were released from the list of suspected cases as their laboratory tests were negative.

She is the sister of a woman who died of bird flu last month and is believed to be Thailand?s first probable case of human transmission of the virus.
So far, 92 areas in 28 provinces are under bird flu watch, of which 50 areas were confirmed to have been hit by the virus, livestock department officials say.
