		Prague Conservatory, sometimes also Prague Conservatoire, in Czech Pražská konzervatoř, is a Czech secondary school dedicated to teaching the arts of music and theater acting.
		Prague Conservatory offers instruction in playing several instruments including accordion, guitar, piano, and organ, as well as in singing, composing, conducting, and acting.
		The Prague Conservatoire was founded in 1808 by local aristocrats and burghers.

		The Prague Wind Quintet is an ensemble of Czech origin.
		The original quintet was established in 1928 by the oboist and long-time permanent conductor of the Prague Symphony Orchestra Vaclav Smetacek (1906-1986).

	Jiří Stivín - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Jiří Stivín (* 23 November 1942, Prague, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia) is a Czech flute player and composer.
		As a sololist, he preformed with the Prague Symphony Orchestra, with the Slovak Chamber Orchestra, with Suk Chamber Orchestra as well as with several other ensembles.

	Prague National Ballet
		Since Tchaikovsky's visit to the Prague National Theatre when Swan Lake was staged in the composer's honour, the company, despite the influence of Diahilev's Ballets Russes in the 1920's, had remained resolutely classical until the nomination of Vlastimil Harapes as artistic director in 1990.
		Vlastimil Harapes, who was the company's star dancer in the 1970's and was himself trained at the Prague Conservatory before completing his studies with Alexander Pushkin in Saint Petersburg, sets great store by technique although not to the detriment of "the heart".
		Stressing their origins, the dancers, all trained at the Conservatory of Prague interpreted a programme of works of their famous compatriot Jiri Kylian, who fled the country in 1968*, because their director considered Kylian's ballets belong to them.

	Mario Klemens - conductor
		After graduation at a secondary school in Podebrady he studied conducting at the Prague Conservatory with Vaclav Smetacek and got through in 1959.

		The cellist David Popper was born in Prague in 1843, the son of the Prague Cantor.
		It was through Liszt’s then son-in-law, the pianist and conductor Hans von Bülow, that Popper was recommended in 1863 to a position as Chamber Virtuoso at the court of the Prince Friedrich Wilhelm Konstantin von Hohenzollern, who had had a new residence with a concert hall built at Löwenberg.
		He served for a time as cellist in the quartet led by Jenö Hubay, the son of the first head of the Conservatory string department.
