	The prefecture of Ilia occupies the northwest part of the Peloponnese
		The capital of the prefecture, Pyrgos, is built on small hills, the most significant of whom is Eparcheion, the location of the tower ('pyrgos' means tower in Greek) that lent its name to the town.
