Premysl II Otakar whose wealth and military power earned him the nickname "king of iron and gold", also gained control of Carinthia, Styria and Carniola, and set his sights on the crown of the King of the Romans.
On the 26th of August 1278 Premysl II Otakar perished at the Battle of the Moravian Field.

Agnes was the daughter of Premysl Ottakar I, who reigned from 1192-1230 and Constance of Hungary, who died in 1240.
