		The date for the "Presentation of Jesus" shows that it was attached to the purification of Mary after childbirth, which is in any case obvious from the text; moreover, this is the oldest reason given for the adoption of this festival by Christians.
		Conversely, the "Purification of Mary" nomenclature is problematic.
		Mary's purification sacrifice brings them to the Temple but it is downplayed; Luke may even have refered to "their puruification" rather than simply hers and she disappears from the scene, as it were.
