The mistake of the President of the State of Eritrea is an error not of omission, or of commission, rather it is an error of delusion.
The president of Eritrea cannot say that this is an internal matter alone, for the squelching of dissent in Eritrea is an example elsewhere where lovers of democracy are trying to find their own particular dignity.
President Issayas Effwerki is suffering from a historical example which should not be repeated, simply because a cursory reading of nationalist movements in Africa and the aftermath of post-colonial blight, would disabuse the Eritrean President of mistakes and authoritarian tendencies.
