The new president said his goal was to "create the kind of political existence and clean governance and efficiency of governance free from corruption, collusion and nepotism, and to create a life, an economic life, of more equitable opportunity" for all Indonesians.
Indonesia has lost huge amounts of foreign investment and confidence, which it must quickly regain to rebuild the country's shattered economy.

The organization also urged the President to amend provisions in the Criminal Code which violate international standards, to issue a moratorium on the death penalty, and to accelerate the process of judicial reform.
