	Pressure Chief - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Pressure Chief is the 5th album by Cake, an alternative rock band from Sacramento, California.
		Pressure Chief was released on October 5, 2004 (after it was pushed back from its original August release date), and contains eleven songs, ten originals and one cover.
		It was produced by the band, and recorded in a converted house in Sacramento.

		As Dime's minor-chord minimalism kicks in, the Cake veteran may well raise an eyebrow to the fact that all three tracks so far had a distinctly pessimistic style (not that the band are known for wide-eyed hope, but three in-a-row seems unusual).
		Pressure Chief (and Comfort Eagle before it, though to a lesser extent), is more of a sticky toffee pudding - somewhat less organic, but just as mouth-watering with hot sauce (addictive synth noises), almonds (acoustic instruments used minimally to maximum effect) and a side of ice-cream (McCrea's interminable knack for striking lyrics).
		In other words, Pressure Chief is the same Cake on a different plate.

		On "Wheels" and "No Phone," the album's first single and songwriter McCrea's lash out at technology, Cake dishes out its signature hip-hop/folk/pop sound that strangely appeals to people who aren't necessarily fans of any of those genres.
