Gran's Prestonpans Document Prestonpans is 10 miles east of Edinburgh (Scotland), with a population of about 5,500. A milestone for the Prestonpans folk was the first tramcar to the town in 1909 which was made possible by the extension of the track from Levenhall to the foot of Prestongrange Road.
