 04-7121 -- Price v. Philpot -- 08/23/2005
Before this court, Price complains that after he was shot at by officers during this "raid" he was forced to flee his home.
Price's complaint alleges that on June 14, 2000, several state and local law enforcement officers commenced an illegal search or "raid of violence" at his home.
Price's primary argument is that the court should have granted his motion to reconsider to provide him an opportunity to present evidence on the statute of limitations issues and, specifically, to submit an affidavit establishing his compliance with the mailbox rule.

 Macworld: Review: 2.52TB Xserve RAID
Our 2.52-terabyte Xserve RAID delivered data rates high enough to let us capture and edit uncompressed 10-bit 1080i high-definition video, all at a price roughly one-fifth to one-half of what Apple's competitors are charging.
The two RAID controller cards are essential elements of the Xserve RAID, and if one card fails, the other doesn't compensate for it while you replace the dud part.
Be aware that the overall data-rate performance depends on the number of drives you stripe together and the type of RAID you use.

 Sterling Price
Sterling Price was a Virginian who went West in search of opportunity, and put down roots.
Price worked to get his men to enlist in the Confederate service, and led those that agreed over the Mississippi into the main theater of war.
After Lyon’s attack at Wilson’s Creek the momentum went out of the Confederate operations in Missouri, else Price might well have been able to rally much of the state against the Union.

 Dawn Raid
Like the dawn raid in war, the corporate dawn raid is done early in the morning, so by the time the target realizes it's being attacked, it's too late - the investor has already scooped up some controlling interest.
So, after a successful dawn raid, the raiding firm is likely to make a takeover bid to acquire the rest of the target company.
Because the bidding company builds a substantial stake in its target at the prevailing stock market price, the takeover costs are likely to be significantly lower than they would be had the acquiring company first made a formal takeover bid.

Civil War St. Louis Guest Comments
The immediate danger to St. Louis had mostly passed by then, though there was still a substantial Confederate underground in the city that would engage in many mischiefs over the course of the whole war, and there was a goodly amount of pro-Union nervousness in the city during Price's Great Raid of 1864.
I talked to a man recently who tells a story about the James brothers staying in Devil's Lake, North Dakota after the Northfield raid.
I was just wondering where my great great grandfather spent some of his time in the civil war.
