The Religion of Mormonism (The Priesthood: Mormonism's Foundation)
According to Mormonism's founder, Joseph Smith, Jr., on May 15, 1829, John the Baptist descended from heaven to confer the Aaronic priesthood upon himself and Oliver Cowdery.
By claiming to possess the Aaronic priesthood, this sinister cult rejects the "once for all" atoning death of Jesus Christ.
Mormons attempt to point out that Jesus Christ belongs to an "order" of priests of which they are heirs through their prophet.

 CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Mormonism
Mormonism's first foreign mission was opened in the summer of 1837, when Heber C. Kimball and Orson Hyde, two of the "twelve apostles of the Church", were sent with other elders to England for that purpose.
It is of importance to bear in mind that the opposition to the Mormons in the localities where they settled is, from the contradictory and divergent statements made by the Latter-Day Saints and the neighbours not of their belief, difficult of explanation.
The violation by the Mormons of the monogamous law of Christianity and of the United States was brought to the attention of Congress, which prohibited under penalty of fine and imprisonment the perpetuation of the anti-Christian practice, refusing, however, to make the prohibition retroactive.

Endowed women have the Mormon Priesthood - Mormonism is full of contradictions and ambiguities
The priesthood bestowed in the temple is the same priesthood given by the laying on of hands, but it is a fullness of that authority and embraces all other authorities, appendages, and offices.
It wasn't until after fls could receive the priesthood were female fls allowed to enter the temple, receive their endowments and be sealed to white or fl men.
Mormons were as Victorian as the next person is defining separate spheres for men and women, and always placing the male sphere above the female.

Mormonism teaches that the true church ‘was lost after the death of the apostles, and that, after 1800 years, the true church with “authority” was restored through Joseph Smith.
Mormon: In Hebrews 5:4 it tells us that no one takes this honor unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
Mormon: By modern-day revelation we know that Peter, James and John came down from heaven and ordained Joseph Smith to the Melchizedek priesthood, thereby once again restoring the church and the true authority to the earth.

The lesser priesthood is an appendage to the Melchizedek Priesthood.
Mormons, while claiming to be the descendants of the tribes of Manasseh and Ephraim, teach that until someone steps forward with a legitimate claim to being a descendant of Aaron, members of the LDS Church can act as an official substitute in that priesthood.
The reason for its importance is that the Mormons will claim that one of the chief evidences which points to the Mormon Church as being the "One True Church" is that both they as individuals and their doctrinal beliefs are constantly questioned and criticized which, in their opinion, results in the persecution of their members.

Because Mormonism demands the whole man (or woman), and because it has programmed you into a particular mind-frame for so long (it is easier if you have not been a member for so long), breaking the inner ties is far more difficult than one might at first imagine.
The second error propagated by the Mormon church, and which actually disproves the inspiration of the Doctrine & Covenents and the priesthood leadership of that Church, is the commandment to observe the Sabbath on Sunday.
Mormons are dependent on a pyramidal command structure radiating down from the First Presidency through the Quorum of the Twelve and thence through the Stakes, Wards and Missions.

Mormonism segments its population according to their "priesthood rank" -- males within the system are ordained into a level of priesthood depending on age and worthiness.
Education of the various priesthood classes is supported through "Priesthood Manuals," curricula developed and approved by the church's educational system.
It is the policy of the Mormon church that official statements of doctrine are found in only two sources: the Scriptures, and statements from the First Presidency (a President and his two counselors).

Changing World Chapter 22 Part 2
The fact that both Mormons and Masons have a temple in which they administer secret ceremonies is striking, but when we compare the ritual and learn that Joseph Smith was a Mason, we are forced to the conclusion that he borrowed from Masonry in establishing his temple ceremony.
Mormon leaders now claim that it is not right for members of the church to join the Masons or other secret societies.
The Mormons, of course, have a right to believe that their ceremonies are sacred, but this does not change the fact that they are secret.

The priesthood holder kneels to say the prayer; if he accidentally deviates from the form, he is instructed to repeat the prayer until it is correct.
Likewise, the prayer for baptism must be given verbatim prior to immersion; the priesthood holder stands in the water beside the person to be baptized, raises his right arm to the square, and pronounces the blessing.

While Mormon's proclaim their leaders receive constant divine revelation directly from God, many felt that this was an exceptionally long time to go without God directly addressing his "saints" in these "latter days." In addition, some believed that these revelations were published only to silence the church's critics.

The Mormons do not since their authority rests on the Aaronic and Melchizedek priesthoods which the Scripture clearly indicates was done away with Jesus.

Blacks and the Priesthood in the Mormon Church
Note: Despite Mormonism's 148 years of teaching white superiority as the "word of God," LDS "Prophet" Spencer Kimball feigned compassion and support for fls by allegedly intervening with God on behalf of "these, our faithful brethren." Astonishingly, Kimball seemed to actually take credit for convincing God to change His mind on the issue.
Mormonism finally allowed fls to enter the Mormon priesthood in 1978, amid allegations of racial discrimination.
The Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 30:6, now reads: "they shall be a PURE and a delightsome people." Substituting "pure" for "white" seems to indicate that Mormonism considers those two words to be interchangeable.
