Primus second drummer was Peter Libby, and then sometime in 1985-87, he was out of the picture and Les called up Jay Lane to find out if he knew of any drummers that might play play with them.
Primus fifth drummer, Tim Wright was another short-lived member, and through auditioning, Les and Ler hired Tim Herb Alexander (born April 10, 1965) in October or November of 1989.

The band met at Bonnaroo (A music festival) while Worrell, Mantia and Buckethead along with Bill Laswell were all their to play as Praxis but Laswell was not able to play at the concert, so Claypool asked if they wanted to jam with him instead.

While Claypool had been prolific even during his Primus days, using their time off to record and tour with both Sausage and the Holy Mackerel, since the breakup of Primus and his acceptance as the leader of legitimate and interesting jam bands, the number and extent of his side projects has proliferated.
This band is somewhat of an anomaly in the sense that it is the only example of a Claypool project in which he is not the de facto leader and impresario (even in the power trio Oysterhead, Les was the band’s public voice).
However, the band does deserve historical mention since it was the first live format in which Les and Ler played together, albeit in a musical style quite different from that of Primus.

Les said that he will still be making Primus records, but he compared their record making process to Tool's: the band previously released albums every two years or so.
The music (at least to me) still sounds like vintage Primus, though Les's bass isn't as overpowering as it was in earlier albums like Cheese, it is actually atmospheric in the song Mary the Ice Cube (which has hilarious lyrics as well).
Now this isn't the best Primus has done but it is certainly not the worst and I think that anyone who is a fan of Primus should appreciate this new material.

There's a certain amount of drama before any headlining band takes the stage, but when the band is Primus and the stage is in their home town of San Francisco, things can get a bit out of hand.
The band took fewer verbal shots at one another than usual, but their performance was tight and clean -- if a bit straightforward.
The band performed "Pork Soda," "Over the Electric Grapevine" and "The Heckler" (by way of "Stairway to Heaven") before getting to "Harold of the Rocks," one of their most entertaining live numbers.
