The Corporation of the County of Prince Edward is a single-tier municipality and a census division of the Canadian province of Ontario.
This headland (always known as Prince Edward County) is surrounded on the north and east by the Bay of Quinte; as the Murray Canal now connects the bay to Lake Ontario across the only land connecton, the county could technically be considered an island.

 Recent Ontario Birding Reports - Prince Edward County, and Quinte Area
There's no doubt that Prince Edward Point is the place to be these days The star bird of the week was a second year male LAZULI BUNTING which was trapped in net 6B on the 23rd May. This bird was well photographed after having been banded and was seen by all those present.
One of the treats at Prince Edward Point is the opportunity to observe migrants at close range while they are still in an exhausted state as was the case with two birders on May 10th who observed a pair of SCARLET TANAGERS at eye level from a distance of seven feet.
COMMON RAVENS continue to be seen throughout the county with the resident 2 at Prince Edward Point on the 9th, and a pair in the Stinson Block area west of Consecon, believed to be nesting in a barn.

In the 1871 Census of Ontario Province, Huron Co., I found "Clinton" King, age 41, born in Ontario, religion--Wesleyan Methodist (his father, William, was Methodist), Irish heritage, occupation--farmer, in District 26 (Huron North), Subdistrict G (Morris), Division 1, Page 33.
The 1900 census states DeWitt's parents were also born in Canada, but his death certificate states that his father, William, was born in Vermont and his mother, Sibyl Clark, was born in New York.
(Mary Ellen Dulmage-[2128] was born on 26 Apr 1839 in South Bay, Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada and died on 2 Sep 1925 in Detroit, Michigan (Buried Evergreen Cemetery).) The cause of death was Asthma.
