On returning to England in 1738, Hoare settled in Bath, where he became a governor of the hospital.

Janice Hoare Prince's Trust xl+ Programme Leader presented a gift token to one team member, Morgan Cain, who raised £140 of the total on her own.
The students attend the Prince's Trust xl+ course two days a week at Uxbridge College, spending one day a week on team building and personal development exercises and the second on a vocational preparation course.

Hoare was in Italy for much of the 1740s, returning to Bath in 1749; two years later he married a wealthy heiress, although he continued his career as a sculptor.
In 1759 he made a number of statues for Henry Hoare (i) the younger at Stourhead, Wilts, and in 1760–62 he carved chimney-pieces for Corsham Court, Wilts.
He remained active principally as a sculptor of busts and monuments: in 1761, for example, he made a bust of Richard ‘Beau’ Nash (Bath, Guildhall) and a church monument to the poet Alexander Pope (Twickenham, London, St Mary).

Richard 'Beau' Nash (1674-1761), oil on canvas by William Hoare (1707-1792).
Hoare gave this portrait of Nash to the Bath Corporation shortly after Nash's death in 1761, but it dates from considerably earlier.

Although well-enough known through an orchestral version by Sir Henry Wood, played at each last night of the 'Proms', the song known as The Arethusa is not one found in traditional song repertoire; but yet has a fascinating history which does impinge.
The words of the piece under review were penned by a Prince Hoare (not a titled name) who was born in Bath in 1755 and was, above all, a painter of portraits and historical pictures.
This was not how the song had it … Prince Hoare obviously never quite let the facts get in the way of his story:
